It's the Journey alright and I think I learned a few things today. One was not to give up. The IC was to be inspired by the Integrity Graphics site. I immediately found one I LOVED here
I love it so much that it was the only one I picked today - different for me, but then I tried to duplicate it. Sorry! It didn't work and never will, but I tried a lot of things I have not tried before.
I painted the CS with 4 different warm acrylic colors. Then I added a black splotch and put it through the brick wall embossing folder painted with black paint for grout. Dried it off (again) and added some orange and yellow reinkers to highlight. It wasn't enough and I was about to pitch it, but decided to try the Spellbinders leaf die dipped in gold embossing powder. I liked it so stamped the Inkadinkado sentiment with VersaMark and heat embossed it with gold.
I am happy because I have warm colors on this and can use it for the MIX52 which I rarely get to do. And besides that, I really like it. I hope you do too.

So very pretty! You lost me at painting 4 colors with acrylic on your card stock! I just tried misting a card with water once and it curled so much I figured I must be doing it wrong! Glad you stayed with it!

Carol, I recognized your inspiration immediately...you did a GREAT job of capturing it. I like your leaf shape...better than the original"blob".....so, I really like your card better than your inspiration. : )

Wow Carol this looks amazing. After reading the comments I can now see the leaf you referred to, I thought you had torn the bricked area to look like the words were crashing through the wall. Brilliant card and straight into my favs.
